Amsterdam
My father used to say "You can tell the Dutch, but you can't tell them much" but he's never been to the Netherlands. Having had the pleasure of visiting several times, I know they don't need to be told anything about tolerance and acceptance. Amsterdam is perhaps my favorite city in the world-- everything from the practicality and pragmatism of the Dutch to their wonderful art institutions and delicious, multicultural-infused meals make me want to pack up and move across the pond to Holland.
